The hard disk drive is the memory storage part of a computer or a laptop. The hard drive connection types are mainly IDE and SATA types. I had a laptop with NVIDIA motherboard. The display went off in the laptop. This is a big problem with the NVIDIA chip set all over the world. The laptop becomes a total waste after this problem occurs. It will be taken only for a scrap rate. I had very vital Company information in the hard drive of the laptop.
I had to access this content. I had known a service person and gave the laptop for service. I asked him to convert the hard disk drive in the laptop to an external hard disk drive so that contents can be accessed like a pen drive or an external hard disk drive. The service person used the hard drive connection types and used a chip to convert the laptop hard disk drive in to an external hard disk drive. This cost me around 10 dollars including the service charges. First the hard disk drive did not get detected and after some time, the laptop HDD got detected and I accessed all the information from the HDD to my personal desktop. At least this was useful in purchasing the Compaq F 700 series of note books which is a total failure. I recommend not to buy F 700 series of Compaq laptops with Nvidia Chipset as this is a total failure and the entire money invested in the lap top coming around 1000 dollars will be a total waste. This is a great way of cheating by the computer giants like HP and Compaq. The model is a failure but still they sell the model to the customers and cheat them. I am never going to buy any Compaq or HP model of PC or laptop again and will also recommend my friends the same advice. This is a very bad experience with loss of money and time. The hard drive connection types of SATA can be used in side the CPU of the personal PC. Mostly in desktop IDE HDD will be present but now SATA HDD is becoming very popular and most of the mother boards support the SATA hard drive connection types. |
